State Authorization

In October 2010, the U.S. Department of Education, through its reauthorization of the Higher Education Act, released new "program integrity" regulations for distance education. One regulation was to ensure that institutions offering distance education were authorized to offer courses in their states. Eastern Arizona College (EAC) has been working diligently to gain the appropriate approvals for our out-of-state students. Click here to find out if your state has authorized EAC to provide distance education to its residents. You can also find out the process for submitting a complaint or contacting your state's authorization department.

Welcome to Online Learning at EAC

Eastern's web courses offer you a very exciting and unique learning opportunity. While the classes run on a traditional semester schedule and assignments have specific due dates, you can still conveniently schedule class work around your family and work commitments. However, you should be a self-motivated learner since almost all communication and learning will take place via computer. In most courses there is no face to face contact with the instructor.
