By Mylee Mayberry
Thatcher, AZ—Eastern Arizona College’s Small Business Development Center (SBDC) is hosting a seminar entitled, “What is Crowdfunding…and How Can It Benefit My Business?” on Thursday, September 25, 2014, from 6 to 8 p.m., in the EAC High Tech Center, Room #124.
EAC’s SBDC business analyst, Charmaine Chidester, will discuss crowdfunding and how it helps a project become funded by a large number of people, and how small businesses can utilize crowdfunding to help change how entrepreneurs are funding their businesses.
“You've probably heard of Kickstarter and Indiegogo, but have you ever wondered how they really work and if they could work for your business? This is going to be a lively seminar as we learn from the most successful (and the most unsuccessful) crowdfunding campaigns. We'll also discuss fees, rules and legal hurdles involved with using this form of financing,” explains Chidester.
There will be a $20 designation fee for the seminar and registration is encouraged. Call the EAC Small Business Development Center at (928) 428-8590 or email firstname.lastname@example.org with questions or to register for this event.
